Description

The young label LEINZ Eyewear has become known by winning the first Opti box Award 2022 at Opti Munich. The judges were convinced by the "unagitated courage", the "quiet extravagance" and the "coherent market presence with a lot of personality and recognizability".

Beate Leinz.Designer. For over 25 years Beate Leinz was a successful eyeweardesigner for famous fashion houses in Germany and Italy.
Following on from her groundbreaking visions and trendsetting for eyewear collections, she was keen to create a completely new aesthetic that represents distinctivly her own
brand. And so Beate´s independent eyewear label Leinz Contemporary Eyewear Berlin began.

Crafts. Art. Passion. The basic idea of LEINZ Eyewear is to create tension in the design by contrasting two materials. In the creation process, the respective characteristics of the material, such as surface texture, weight, colorfulness are used and provide the style a high-quality appearance. The joint is created by a sophisticated plug-in construction, which connects the contrasting materials harmoniously. High gloss meets haptics, vibrancy meets matte surfaces, curves meet hard edges. The result is a fascinating piece of eyewear

Sustainability is one of Leinz‘s basic principles. They see a resource-saving approach as a guiding value in the development of all processes and products. That is why Leinz decided to use 3D printing
to produce eyewear. The pure 3D printed models allow for lower stock and shorter production times.
Production in the SLS 3D Printing process is material-saving, as hardly any plastic waste
remains.

    ABOUT ANDY WOLF
    With the founding of ANDY WOLF EYEWEAR in 2006, our namesakes Andreas Pirkheim (ANDY) and Wolfgang Scheucher (WOLF) wanted to preserve the traditional craftsmanship of their homeland and combine it with contemporary, innovative design. The heart of our company is the head office with its adjacent acetate factory in Hartberg, Austria. There are also further offices in Berlin and New York. The factory acquired in 2016 in the French Jura region manufactures delicate metal spectacles according to traditional craftsmanship. Thanks to our internal production and value chain, this strong local basis allows us to operate as an international company.
     
    ANDY WOLF EYEWEAR is available in 69 countries from select opticians and concept stores.
     
    High-quality acetate and metal from European producers are the basis of our perfectly designed spectacles. The perfection of the material is reflected in the designs. By setting high standards for ourselves and the quality throughout production, glasses are manufactured that accentuate every single wearer’s individual personality.
    Our renowned customers include among others Oprah Winfrey, Cate Blanchett, Lupita Nyong'o, Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Jourdan Dunn, Caro Daur as well as Rihanna, Solange Knowles and Beyoncé.
