In an unstable economic context, SILMO, MONDIAL DE L’OPTIQUE reassured the sector as a whole. The show’s 900 exhibitors unveiled a selection of attractive brands and products and enjoyed an excellent business climate fostered by the professionals that were in attendance.
Indeed, over a four-day period, the trade show welcomed 34,696 visitors including 54.8% international and 45.2% French visitors, with attendance remaining stable in relation to the previous edition in spite of unexpected construction on the RER (to allow it to run more smoothly in the future) which disrupted travel on Saturday and Sunday.
Alongside dense commercial discussions, events and new products disclosed by the exhibitors, SILMO, MONDIAL DE l'OPTIQUE offered a particularly rich line-up of scientific conferences, technical workshops and coaching sessions. Nine hundred people took part in the three sessions of the scientific colloquium that was organised by the SILMO ACADEMY and some 100 opticians perfected their refraction techniques.
This third edition of SILMO, MONDIAL DE L’OPTIQUE that was held at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre demonstrated the vitality of the optics and eyewear sector and confirmed Paris' enviable position as a venue for major international events.
