ROLF Spectacles with « Amur 02 | plant-based eyewear » The patented hinge has proven itself the ideal component. It can be printed at the same time as the frame using 3D printing technology, meaning the whole frame can be made all at once and therefore keep the number of external suppliers to a minimum. In addition to the high performance of the screw-less hinge, glasses wearers will also benefit from the flexible, natural, and skin-friendly properties of the plant-based frame. Shaping the future with innovative and sustainable products.

TRANSITIONS Optical with « Transitions® XTRActive® Polarized™» Transitions® XTRActive® Polarized™ lenses are the only and best ever photochromic polarized lenses to defy glare. They use a breakthrough, exclusive, multi-layer matrix that hosts new broad-spectrum dyes for more darkness and new ultra-fast dichroic dyes that are especially tuned to high-glare light and when activated have the unique ability to organize into a pattern on the lens itself for polarization. A man of many talents with an atypical personality, Jean-Christophe Leblanc chairs the jury for SILMO d’OR 2021, lending an inquisitive and open-minded vision, with his energy and his creativity.
A man of shadow and light, Jean-Christophe Leblanc’s career path has been a sinuous one: “I take turns and detours,” he says, “but there is an underlying coherency connecting all my experiences.” After studying medicine, which provides him with a solid background in physics and chemistry, he joins ATEP, a Parisian college for art and visual communication, and discovers the installation of volume in space, design, scenography, sculpture, the art of decor, etc.
Newly graduated, he is awarded the David Weil prize for artwork from the Academy of Arts, makes an animated film in stop-motion, becomes a teacher and meets Alain Duverne, the creator of the Guignols de l’Info, who invites him to join his team. A first encounter followed by others (Alain Chabat, Luc Besson...) who open the doors to the film industry where he creates different universes and designs sets.
At the same time, his sense of staging seduces Stefan Lubrina, Karl Lagerfeld's official decorator. Jean-Christophe Leblanc then plunges into the world of fashion where his talent really shines through. Fashion shows, showcases, events, films..., nothing escapes his keen eye for cultivating beauty and surprise. An eye that should inspire SILMO d’OR jury members, all the more so as Jean-Christophe Leblanc has already crossed paths with the optical industry, in 2017 he was responsible for staging the fair’s 50th anniversary at the Grand Palais, a grandiose event that made a lasting impression...
